Charlie Manuel to talk baseball at Tropicana

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Former Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, known as “Uncle Cholly” to legions of admirers, will make a special appearance at Tropicana Atlantic City Casino & Resort Atlantic City’s Showroom on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at 7 p.m.

The winningest manager in Phillies team history will share memories and experiences from his coaching days. Audience members will enjoy the chance to get their questions answered by Manuel himself. Tickets are just $15 each and are available through Ticketmaster, via phone at 1-800-736-1420, or at the Tropicana Box Office. Ask about special discounts for organizations and groups of 20 or more. Tickets go sale Sept. 18 at noon.

To many area fans, Charlie Manuel will be remembered as a Philadelphia legend. After a successful playing career, he became an MLB coach and manager, managing the Philadelphia Phillies from 2005 to 2013. He took the Phillies to a championship title during the 2008 World Series. With a second trip to the World Series and five straight division titles, Manuel secured his supreme status in the Philadelphia sports world.
