California casino sees record-breaking jackpot

LOLETA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The largest ever jackpot in Humboldt County was paid out September 18, 2010 at Bear River Casino. Bear River Casino is located in Loleta, CA in northern California.

The more than $2 million jackpot was won by a 54-year-old man from Manteca, CA. Dale Perry placed a $5 bet and won a jackpot of $2,048,040.92, while playing the WMS Gaming slot machine Reel 'em In! The jackpot was won at 11:32 p.m.

Perry was excited about winning the big jackpot and immediately paid for the dinners of everyone eating in the Rivers Edge Restaurant at that time.

Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria Tribal Council Member Edwin Smith offered his congratulations to the winner saying, "We are certainly glad he chose to play at Bear River Casino."

Perry has been a member of Bear River Casino's Bonus Bear Player's Club since March 2009.
