Bear River Casino Resort in California closed until further notice

3 April 2020

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria will continue the temporary closure of Bear River Casino Resort beyond the previous April 10th reevaluation date, to a later date that is to be determined.

This decision is made in compliance with the active Shelter in Place Order that is in effect until rescinded by the County of Humboldt. The Tribe is continually monitoring updates on COVID-19 from The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), The World Health Organization (WHO), The National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as Local, State, and Federal Governments and will reopen operations when it is considered safe to do so.

The following Bear River enterprises will remain closed: Bear River Casino, Hotel, Thirsty Bear Lounge, Rivers Edge Restaurant, and Express Café. In an effort to continue to serve the Tribal Community and local community by offering some basic necessities, the Pump and Play Gas Station and Convenience Store, as well as the Bear River Tobacco Traders drive thru will continue operations. Hours for the Pump and Play Convenience Store are 8am-10pm daily and 24/7 for the Pump and Play Fuel Pumps. The Bear River Tobacco Traders drive thru is open 8am-9pm Monday-Saturday and 10pm-8pm on Sunday.

The Tribe is concerned, first and foremost, for the health and safety of its casino employees, casino guests, Tribal Members and community. The Tribe stands in solidarity with our community and is committed to showing support during these unprecedented times.

Updates will be posted to our website and social media pages.
