California casino releases November poker schedule

PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Pala Casino Spa & Resort will provide Southern California poker players a "November to Remember" schedule of tournaments in the Pala Poker Room.

Major events will include a Pre-Thanksgiving Bash at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24; a benefit tournament for Toys for Tots at 11 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 28, and a variety of daily specials. An evening tournament will not be played on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 25.

The Pre-Thanksgiving Bash will have a $65 buy-in and a $15 entry fee. Players will start with $5,000 in chips and there will be a $5,000 guarantee. There also will be a $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in chips and unlimited re-entry up to the start of the third blind level. A complimentary breakfast buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to Noon.

The Toys for Tots tournament also will have a $65 buy-in and a $15 entry fee. Players will start with $3,000 in chips and there will be a $5,000 guarantee. There will be a $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in chips and unlimited re-entry up to the third blind level. Blinds will be 20 minutes. Players will receive an additional $500 in starting chips for every unwrapped toy (limit 10) they donate to the annual Toys for Tots program sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. A complimentary breakfast buffet also will be served from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Special daily tournaments will be played at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. each Monday and Friday; at 11 a.m. each Saturday and Sunday, and at 7 p.m. each Thursday during November. The 7 p.m. tournaments each Thursday will be Deep Stack events.

The Monday and Friday tournaments will have $25 buy-ins and $5 entry fees. Each will have a $2,000 guarantee, a $5 optional bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in starting chips and unlimited re-entries up to the third blind level.

Saturday and Sunday tournaments will have $30 buy-ins and $5 entry fees. Each will have a $3,000 guarantee, a $5 optional bonus buy and unlimited re-entries up to the third blind level.

Thursday's Deep Stacks will have $50 buy-ins and $10 entry fees. Each will have a $3,000 guarantee, $5 optional bonus buys and unlimited re-entries up to the third blind level.

The remaining week-day tournaments, Tuesday and Wednesday except Wednesday, Nov. 24, will start at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The 11 a.m. tournaments will have a $25 buy-in and a $5 entry fee with a $1,000 guarantee. There also will be a $5 staff bonus buy for an additional $1,000 in starting chips and unlimited re-entry up to the start of the third blind level. The 7 p.m. tournaments will have a $15 buy-in and a $5 entry fee. Players will start with $2,000 in chips and there will be a $5 staff bonus for an additional $1,000 in starting chips. There also will be a $5 re-buy and a $10 add-on. Unlimited re-entry will be allowed up to the third blind level.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during November, the Pala Poker Room will award a $100 High Hand Bonus every hour to the player with the highest hand. Each Sunday during the 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. NFL football games, each time a team scores, the Pala Poker Room will splash up to three tables with cash. A free hot dog buffet also will be served on Sundays during NFL games.

Pala reserves the right to alter or cancel any promotion or poker tournament at its discretion.
