California casino continues to roll out poker tournaments

PALA, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Poker Room at Pala Casino Spa & Resort will celebrate its first anniversary starting at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 5, by giving away $7,500 to players who have qualified for hourly cash drawings that will be held throughout the day. The anniversary party also will include a hot buffet from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for all players. Every hour, from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., one lucky poker player will win $500. Players earned entries into the drawing with hourly play during May.

Pala will play its Deep Stack IV tournament on Sunday, July 4, and will offer daily satellite tournaments at 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. for a $78 buy-in. Two seats for the Deep Stack IV tournament will be awarded for every 10 players in the daily satellite tournaments.

In addition, Pala will play Mini Deep Stack tournaments at 3 p.m. each Saturday after the anniversary and $1,500 Free Roll tournaments at Noon each Sunday in June. The Mini Deep Stack tournaments will have a $125 buy-in, a $25 entry fee and a $10 staff bonus buy-in for an additional $5,000 in chips. Each player will start with $10,000 in chips and there will be a $5,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Players will begin the $1,500 Free Roll tournaments with $2,000 in chips and there will be a $10 staff bonus buy for an additional $2,000 in chips. Players qualify for the $1,500 Free Roll tournaments by playing at least eight hours of live poker during the week prior to the event. Players can earn up to an additional $6,000 in chips and $100 in cash by playing 30 hours of live poker each week.

Pala's regular daily tournaments will start at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All 11 a.m. tournaments will have a $25 buy-in and a $5 entry fee. There will be a $3 optional Staff Bonus Buy for an additional $1,000 in chips and there will be a $1,000 guarantee.

The 7 p.m. tournaments will be $1,000 Free Rolls. Each day, players will be randomly selected during live play and be invited to play in that evening's Free Roll tournament.

Pala Casino Spa & Resort reserves the right to alter or cancel any poker tournament at its discretion.
