California casino brings out the celebrities24 August 2010RANCHO MIRAGE, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Guests at Agua Caliente Casino, Resort, Spa in Rancho Mirage can now play Blackjack with some of the music industry's hottest entertainers—with specially designed table felts and $5 gaming chips featuring Billy Idol, Huey Lewis, Sheryl Crow and more! Agua Caliente had the special Blackjack felts and celebrity gaming chips commissioned to up the ante on the amazing variety of entertainers currently booked at The Show, the resort's award winning concert theatre. The Chips are dated and produced in limited quantities, making them highly desirable to chip collectors and brokers alike, whose collections can fetch thousands on the dollar for especially rare casino chips. Both the felts and chips were designed by Gaming Partners International and include entertainers' names and photos. The chips are Paulson® brand which are made of up to 13 different components, are thermo-compressed and are commonly referred to as "clay chips." They are custom molded with personalized inlays. The felts feature the entertainers' photos printed in rich, bold colors. Michael Dickson, director of table games at Agua Caliente Casino says the celebrity chips and felts are already getting rave reviews: "We wanted to bring more excitement to the casino floor, and showcase the fantastic talent we have booked in The Show.
