Cage fighting returns to Oklahoma casino15 March 2011SHAWNEE, Oklahoma -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Back by popular demand, Freestyle Cage Fighting returns to FireLake Grand on Saturday, April 9 th! The Main Event features Oklahoman Matt Grice and the female Co-Main Event features Erin Toughill. Come catch the excitement as the punches fly! Fighting in the lightweight class, Matt “The Real One” Grice, from Norman, brings an impressive professional record of 14 wins, three losses, and no draws. His record includes scored five knockouts and two submissions. Matt began his career as a high school wrestler and won the Oklahoma State Wrestling Championship four times. He has fought in the UFC, X-1, Ultimate Texas Showdown, and Freestyle Cage Fighting. Matt’s determination is evident in the ring. Then the lady’s Co-Main Event will feature Erin “Steel” Toughill from Huntington Beach, California. She started training to learn self-defense and to get a good workout. Erin started with kickboxing when she was 18 and added Brazilian jiu-jitsu two years later. When her trainer realized how talented she was, Erin was approached about professional fighting. Her first professional MMA fight was in September of 1999. “I have always taken on the challenge. I love to fight…” reveals Erin Toughill. “Steel” brings a 10-2-1 (Win-Loss-Draw) record to the ring. She has had 4 knockouts. This super middleweight fighter will be the one to watch! The fight card also includes Amanda Lucas, daughter of Hollywood director George Lucas, from San Francisco, CA; Ashley Sanchez from Galesberg, IL; Heather Martin from Jackson, TN; as well as Sarah Maloy from Ada, OK. Shane Howell, Brian and Riley Grinnell, and Shawn Brake are among the favorite fighters from OK who will also enter the ring.
