Atlantis Casino Resort to Purchase Acres Bonusing System

12 November 2003

LAS VEGAS – (Press Release) -- Acres Gaming Incorporated, the leader in Bonusing and casino management system technology for the gaming industry, has announced that it received an order from the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno, Nevada. Acres Gaming recently became a wholly owned subsidiary of International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT).

The sale to Atlantis includes a complete suite of casino management applications, several Bonusing modules and Acres' interactive NexGen(TM) player tracking display. This technology adds considerable strength and efficiency to marketing functions.

The Acres system will work in tandem with the casino's cashless gaming solution, EZ Pay(TM) ticket in, ticket out. The EZ Pay(TM) Ticket System is IGT's premier cashless technology that minimizes a slot player's "down time" waiting for machine refills and jackpot payoffs, increasing play time and customer service.

Under the leadership of the Farahi family, the Atlantis has undergone numerous expansions throughout its 12-year history as a casino property. Among its amenities, the 1,000-room tropically themed resort features Reno's only concierge hotel tower, a 52,000-square-foot casino, convention facilities, eight restaurants, nine captivating bars, health spa with indoor/outdoor swimming pools, new full service salon, and live entertainment. Atlantis attracts a loyal customer base of locals, visitors and conventioneers due to its location across the street from the newly expanded 600,000-square- foot Reno/Sparks Convention Center.

The property plans an aggressive implementation of Acres Bonusing in order to build player loyalty in the face of increasing competition. Installation is scheduled for completion in early 2004.

"Bonusing will provide Atlantis with flexibility to increase share in both the local and tourist core markets," said Rich Schneider, Acres President and Chief Operating Officer.

"The NexGen display will deliver tailored player rewards and spontaneous jackpots to Atlantis' patrons with engaging animation and sound. The scope of this project is unprecedented in the Reno market."

"Over the years, our team has consistently improved the quality of our products and services in order to offer the very best entertainment experience to our guests," said John Farahi, Chief Executive Officer of the Atlantis Casino Resort. "Acres Bonusing and the interactive NexGen display are logical steps in our development."
