Atlantic City Garage Plans Revived13 January 2004ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – As reported by the Press of Atlantic City: "A state agency is reviving plans for a $20 million parking garage that was put on hold following the catastrophic collapse of the Tropicana Casino and Resort parking garage. "The South Jersey Transportation Authority delayed its project immediately after the Tropicana collapse on Oct. 30 to give contractors more time to study the accident, which killed four workers in an avalanche of concrete rubble. "…Construction companies are being asked to submit their qualifications by Jan. 28, a key step that will allow the authority to make sure contractors have the ability to design and build the project. Later, a winning contractor will be selected…" |
