A-Mei returns to Mohegan Sun

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- After A-Mei's performances in the Arena on her previous visits in 2002, she returns to Mohegan Sun with her new musical partners. The show will have two performances on Thursday, November 22nd; the first at 2:00am and the second at 2:00pm.

A-Mei is an aboriginal Taiwanese pop singer and occasional songwriter. A-Mei made her debut in the world of music in 1996, achieving instant mega commercial success. She has frequently been called a diva of the Mandarin pop music scene, as well as the "Pride of Taiwan." She has won numerous music awards and become one of the biggest music sensations within the pop music pantheon of the Mandarin-speaking world.

In 2002, A-Mei won the "Best Female Vocalist of the Year" award with the album, Truth at Taiwan's most prestigious, "Golden Melody Awards." A-Mei was also named as one of the 20 Asian Heroes featured in the special issue of Time magazine in the same year, becoming the first Taiwanese singer to grace this international publication. In October 2002, A-Mei released her new album, Fever and shortly after, kicked off her "A-Class Entertainment World Tour," hitting Taiwan, Hong Kong, mainland China, Singapore, Malaysia and the United States.

A new beginning in 2007, A-Mei signed a 3-year contract with EMI and released her new album Star in August as the first musical offering with EMI music.
