Football 2002 Part II

1 September 2002

Football season is just around the corner and the Las Vegas sportsbooks are gearing up for action. There will be plenty of opportunities to wager before the season begins. I know more than a few people that swear they do very well during the pre-season. They follow coaching patterns and psychological factors that help them determine playing time for their star players. Also they keep meticulous records on draft picks, trades and if there is subtle pressure from upstairs to sell season tickets. There are lots of factors in betting the pre-season, some real, some imagined.

If you get mentally unhinged by frequent substitutions and bizarre play calls, you might want to wait for the regular season. There are numbers available around town for the first week of regular season action. These numbers are courtesy of the Palms Hotel sportsbook.
