Star Trek mission over at LVH?10 January 2011
This is terrible news. I've spent many hours going where many slot players have gone before playing the Trek machines at the Las Vegas Hilton. I was concerned when I saw that the number of machines went from six to four on my most recent visit last April. I figured they took out some of the machines because the honeymoon period was over and they didn't need as many machines to satisfy the players who wanted to play them. Are you sure the machines are gone completely? If they went down to one or two machines, they wouldn't be as prominently displayed as when they had six. The machines might be against the wall somewhere. There are two websites you can check to see if a casino has a particular slot. First, some casinos list the machines they have on their slot floors on their websites. I don't know how often LVH updates its website, but the Slots/Video Poker page still lists the Star Trek slot. The second place you can look to see if a casino has a particular slot machine in on that slot machine's manufacturer's website. WMS produces the Star Trek slots. Unfortunately, I don't see any information about which casinos have which machines on WMS.com. Best of luck in and out of the casinos, Send your slot and video poker questions to John Robison, Slot Expert, at slotexpert@comcast.net. Because of the volume of mail I receive, I regret that I can't reply to every question. This article is provided by the Frank Scoblete Network. Melissa A. Kaplan is the network's managing editor.
