Does it matter when I start a bonus spin on Wheel of Fortune?

By John Robison
When you get a spin on Wheel of Fortune, does it matter how long you wait to press the spin button? Is the outcome of the spin predetermined? Sometimes I wait until a count of 5.
It doesn't matter when you press the spin button to start your bonus spin on a Wheel of Fortune machine. No matter when you press the button, the machine will poll the RNG to get a number that it will use to determine where the wheel will stop. The probability that the wheel stops on any particular wedge is the same on every spin and regardless of whether you wait one second, five or a minute.
Best of luck in and out of the casinos,
John
