Dear Patricia: Few writers cover keno because the house edge on keno is much higher than on other casino games. Frank's book Victory at Video Poker does have a chapter on video keno, though. In a recent column, our own Tahoe-based Star Brooks recommended that keno players check the pay schedules on their machines carefully. She found some machines that were more generous than others for the same bet. As for patterning, the numbers are drawn at random and there should be no patterns. Best of luck in and out of the casinos, Send your slot and video poker questions to John Robison, Slot Expert, at slotexpert@home.com.
