Jerry Stickman Gaming Guru - Page 43Hopping the 7 in Craps10 July 2011
Morning Stickman,
I was reading through one of your articles and I wanted to enquire the following:
The hopping 7s naturally seem to be a large investment should the shooter throw out 15 numbers and up. What if the person betting played the hopping 7s every roll and in addition, played the place bets. ... (read more)
Craps in California5 June 2011
Craps is one of the most social of all casino games. In no other game is almost the whole table cheering on the player (shooter) as he gets ready to throw. It is also the only casino game where the casino gives you the means to win. They give you the dice and it is up to you to win or lose. However, casinos ... (read more)
Change In Your Craps Bankroll Is Affected by More Than Just the House Edge8 May 2011
All casino
games writers that know what they are talking about preach making only low
house edge bets. In a random game the math cannot be beaten in the long run.
Bet the “Fire
Bet”, which is a bet that the shooter will make four or more different point
numbers before sevening out, and the house ... (read more)
Additional Information on the Field Bet10 April 2011
Hi Stickman,
One thing I would add to your article on the Field Bet is that the bet is resolved on every roll.
Compare a $5 Place 5 bet (HA=4.00%) to a $5 3x12 Field (HA=2.78%) bet over a perfectly distributed 36 rolls.
Place 5 wins $7 four times and loses $5 six times for a net loss of $2.

Add Odds to Pass Line or Place the 6 and 8?13 March 2011
Hello Mr. Stickman,
I always read your and Frank's articles in the Casino City times. I am a low roller and have a couple questions. I have read a number of the books you guys have put out and they have saved me a lot of money.
My question is, what are the odds on the pass line bet after the come out roll? I was playing the other day and was doing okay and practicing my delivery. ... (read more)
Hardway Set or 3V Set13 February 2011
Stickman,
I have read and enjoyed Frank Scoblete's books on craps as well as his and your articles for Casino City Times. I also enjoyed the videos on the eight physical elements of dice control on YouTube.
My question is, should I use the hardway set or the 3V set?
I have used the 3V set with some success.

Odds of Being Dealt a Royal Flush8 January 2011
I am not an expert on the laws of probability, so I am confused by your statement that there are four royal flushes in 2,598,960 hands, and therefore your odds of getting a royal are one out of 649,740. Is this a correct statement, or is it something totally different, that never changes, four out of ... (read more)
Is a Field Bet with the 12 Paying 3-to-1 a Good Bet?4 December 2010
One of the more popular bets at a craps table is the field bet. It is a onetime bet that wins if a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12 is thrown. That is the reason for its popularity -- it pays on all but four numbers. Never mind the fact that the numbers that lose are the most frequently appearing.
In most casinos the field bet pays double for the 2 or 12 and pays even money for the other numbers. ... (read more)
Playing 8/5 Jacks or Better2 October 2010
An acquaintance recently asked me to comment on playing the 8/5 version of Jacks or Better. He understands that 9/6 Jacks or Better is a better game to play but says it is sometimes hard to find.
For those readers who are not familiar with video poker terminology, Jacks or Better is one of the first video poker games ever manufactured. ... (read more)
Double Bonus Poker Strategies: 10/7 versus 9/725 September 2010
Full pay (10/7) Double Bonus Poker returns 100.17% with perfect play, however, these machines can be difficult to find. More common are 9/7 Double Bonus games returning 99.1% with perfect play. While the strategy for playing Double Bonus is more complex than for Jacks or Better, it is simple to switch ... (read more)
