5 July 2025
A question from Johnny Hi Mr. Stickman. I am new to table games in a casino, but craps seems to be a fun game. Hi Stickman, I really enjoy playing the slot machines. They are not like video poker machines. They are not like table games. They do not take any skill or special knowledge. Jacks or Better – 9/6 or 8/5?

24 May 2025
Hi Stickman, I read your articles regularly and you always favor 9/6 Jacks or Better. As you mention in your articles, 9/6 Jacks or Better is becoming extremely difficult to find in today’s casinos. Usually, the best Jacks or Better game I can find is 8/5. I know the house edge is higher on this game, but how bad is it? Sam in Colorado Hi Sam, You are very correct, Sam. ... (read more)

Are free odds at the craps table free?

10 May 2025
When calculating the house edge of craps bets, it is common to include the odds portion of a craps pass, don’t pass, come and don’t come bets. The odds portion, however, is paid at true odds – assuming the amount bet is a proper multiple. ... (read more)
