Top 10 Super Bowl viewing parties in Las Vegas

The stage has been set for Super Bowl LII, with the New England Patriots listed as a 5.5-point favorite over the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, it's just a matter of deciding where you will be watching the game when it kicks off 4 February at 3:30 p.m. PT.

If you're not planning on shelling out a couple grand for a ticket to be inside U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to see the action unfold live and in person, the next best option for football fans on Super Bowl Sunday is to head to Las Vegas. Not only is Sin City the sports gambling capital of the world, but Las Vegas truly knows how to throw a party for big sporting events. Just ask anyone who has ever experienced March Madness in Las Vegas.

As usual, there will be a plethora of viewing parties to choose from in Las Vegas on Super Bowl Sunday, all with their own unique flavor and amenities. Here are just 10 to choose from — but to be quite honest, this easily could have been a Top 100 list.

No matter where you decided to land, our lone suggestion is to plan ahead. Most of these parties will be sold out, so book in advance.

10. Caesars Palace
One of the most storied resort casinos in Las Vegas has more than a few options to watch the Super Bowl, but two of the prime options are inside the famed Race & Sportsbook and a seat at the stylish Monte Cristo Cigar Bar.

The Race & Sportsbook was recently renovated, adding a 138-foot LED video wall. Premium seating and drink packages begin at $225 per person.

Down the hall at Monte Cristo Cigar Bar, the Big Baller Ultimate Big Game Viewing Experience will be held inside the Old Homestead Clubhouse. Tailored for groups of 10 at a cost of $10,000, the package offers jerseys from each team, a signature Montecristo cigar for each guest, one bottle of Crown Royal XR and Absolut Elyx, a selection of beer and wine hand-picked by a Caesars Palace sommelier, a premium three-course steak dinner with sides featuring the seafood tower, plus a Montecristo swag bag to take home.

If you're a cigar lover, even if you don't make it here for the Super Bowl, put this venue on your hit list the next time you are in Vegas, as it quickly became a favorite of ours following a visit last summer.

9. TAO and LAVO
Two of the hippest restaurants and nightclubs on the Las Vegas Strip will cater to the Super Bowl crowds with viewing parties.

The TAO Bowl inside The Venetian Las Vegas will offer an open bar from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and a buffet featuring TAO Temple Salad, assorted sushi, roasted Prime Rib, BBQ spare ribs, Kobe sliders and more. The cost is $175 per person.

The LAVO Bowl inside The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino will host a very similar experience. For $200 per person, there will be an open bar from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with buffet choices like Scarpariello wings, grilled baby lamb chops and sushi.

Finally, the LAVO Bunny Bowl will take over for the LAVO Party Brunch on The Palazzo, where Playmates Kayla Collins, Crystal McCahill, Hiromi Oshima and Stephanie Branton will be in the house.

8. Downtown Watch Zone's Big Game Bash
Just because this year's Super Bowl is being played inside the comfy confines of a dome, it doesn't mean you can't take advantage of temperate Vegas weather and watch the game outside. The perfect spot to do so is at the Downtown Watch Zone, where they hosted parties for NFL Sundays all season in front of a 72-foot LED main screen. Viewing options include table seating on the floor and the private Man Caves, which are 600 square feet and have shaded seating for 20, personal beer pong tables and leather couches.


7. The D Las Vegas
Let's stay downtown and head to The D Las Vegas, a must-visit when you venture to "Old Vegas." The ultra-hip resort has a few options for the Super Bowl, including Private Big Game Man Caves. Hosted on the 12th floor, the caves are built for parties ranging from four to 25 people, complete with sofa seating, flat-screen televisions and open-bar access for food and drinks. There will also be A Celebration of Champions in the D Showroom, a space that can accommodate up to 180 fans and will be packed with stadium-style food and beverages.

Keep an eye open for The D owner Derek Stevens, who is known for wearing flashy suit jackets and mingling with the crowd. Stevens is also a pretty sharp sports bettor, so be sure to get some prop picks from him if you bump into him before kickoff.

6. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas will hold a Super Sunday viewing event inside Vinyl, highlighted by an all-you-can-eat-and-drink tailgate buffet that will include BBQ pork ribs, cheeseburger sliders, chicken wings, pizza station, crab and spinach dip, and more, starting at $125 per person.

Alternative rock fans can make a weekend out of it at the Hard Rock, as Incubus will rock The Joint on Friday and Saturday.

5. Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay
With VIP packages ranging from $400 to $2,500, the Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino is offering some great options, starting with the '89 49ers Package, which grants patrons complimentary access for up to four guests as well as Big Game viewing.

At $2,500 the End Zone Package grants access for up to 18 guests and includes your own private space.

All packages include a full menu of food and drink and Foundation Room members receive 10% off any Big Game package.

4. The LINQ and LINQ Promenade
One of my favorite new spots in Las Vegas is the LINQ Promenade, an outdoor entertainment district with an array of bars, shops and restaurants that runs from The Strip to The High Roller.

The place will be hopping on Super Bowl Sunday with an array of parties, including a Brooklyn Bowl, a very cool concert venue where admission fees for Super Bowl watching parties start at $75, or upgrade and reserve a private bowling lane with and all-you-can-eat-and-drink options.

Inside The LINQ Hotel & Casino, TAG Sports Bar, named one of the “Best Sports Bars in America” by Travel + Leisure, will offer an all-you-can-eat stadium-style buffet with Guy Fieri's famous chicken wings from his restaurant Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen & Bar, starting at $99 per person The same food package will be available upstairs at The POOL at The LINQ for fans who prefer to watch the game pool-side.

3. Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood
Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino just celebrated its 10th year on the Las Vegas Strip, and one of the best dining options inside is Gordon Ramsay Burger.

The burger lover’s paradise has a perfect, wide-open layout for a Big Game celebration, where for $150 per person fans will enjoy food and drink packages and a chance to win prizes throughout the game.

2. Big Game Party at South Point
At the "tip of the Strip," South Point Hotel Casino and Spa boasts one of the best sportsbooks in Las Vegas with two bookmakers – Chris Andrews and Jimmy Vaccaro – behind the counter who have more than seven decades of experience. So, you know they'll be taking Super Bowl Sunday seriously. The property's Big Game Party inside the Grand Ballroom and Exhibit Hall is free to attend and offers a ton of drink and food specials: $25 6-beer-buckets, $5 Captain Morgan, $5 Crown Royal, $1 hot dogs and $3 pizza, to name a few.

And if you're looking for accommodations for Super Bowl Weekend, it will be difficult to top the price at South Point, which is offering two nights for two people in a mid-view room (Thursday/Friday, Friday/Saturday, Saturday/Sunday or Sunday/Monday) for just $239, and it includes seating at the viewing party.

The South Point is also home to the new Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN) studios. The station is heard on SiriusXM and at VSIN.com and legendary TV play-by-play man Brent Musburger's "My Guys In the Desert" show spearheads the programming. Musberger and his cast of sports betting characters will be broadcasting live on Super Bowl Sunday to create an even better "Big Game" atmosphere.

Miami Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback Bob Griese will make a special appearance inside the Westgate International Theater during the game where reserved seating is available for $100 per seat. All tickets include all-you-can-eat and drink and limited free seating will be available on the balcony level.

Guests can also watch the action in a comfortable, nonsmoking setting on more than 4,488 square feet of state-of-the-art HD video screens inside the world-famous SuperBook. Trust us, if you haven't experienced this incredible venue, it's a must-see.
