Top 10 most Instagrammed locations in Las Vegas25 July 2016
Throughout Las Vegas at nearly any time of the day, you can't go too far without running into someone or a group of people gathering in front of a popular spot and smiling into their iPhones. In fact, spend any extended period of time on The Strip and you'll more than likely get a tap on the shoulder, followed by a polite "Would you mind taking a picture of us?" According to a recent study sponsored by Casino Room, Las Vegas is indeed one of the more popular travel destinations for Instagram users. By breaking down the numbers in Instagram's API (application programming interface), the study analyzed 2,092,919 posts containing 28 different hashtags, between November 2006 (when Instagram was launched) through January 2016, related to casinos, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Monte Carlo and Macau. With that information, it was able compute the most common locations based on geolocation information from posts as well as when the posts were published. For Las Vegas, the top 10 locations weren't much of surprise (except maybe for No. 10). Below is the entire list with our most recent favorite post. If you've been to Las Vegas, chances are you've got your own selfie of at least one of these locations on your phone. Or, at the very least, you've snapped a picture of someone else standing in front of it. 10. Las Vegas Police Department 9. Caesars Palace 8. The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas 7. Aria Resort & Casino 6.
