Miles dashes Cada's bid for second WSOP Main Event crown13 July 2018
Cada, who became the youngest player to win the WSOP Main Event back in 2009 when he was 21 years old, uncharacteristically skipped out of his bustout interview with ESPN and other reporters and quickly made a stage-left exit out of the Amazon Room with a group of friends. When we caught up with him in the hallway, he told us he wasn’t about to complain. “Sometimes you win flips. Sometimes you lose,” the 30-year-old said calmly in between posing for pictures with fans. “I ran good (at the final table in 2009). Today it was my turn to lose a flip.” As for his chance to make history, Cada scoffed at the idea that his exit was more painful than anyone else's. “Yes, I had a lot at stake. It would have been cool to be able to win it again,” he said. “But everyone had something big at stake. I wasn’t the only one.”
