Woman sentenced in fatal Bally's stabbing

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- The woman charged with fatally stabbing another woman at Bally's hotel and casino in early September was sentenced Thursday to three to 10 years in prison.

Latrovia Reed, 23, of Milwaukee, pleaded guilty Oct. 22 to voluntary manslaughter in the death of 24-year-old Talesha Jamerson.

Reed and two other women were arguing on Sept. 5 near the registration desk at Bally's when the argument escalated, police said. When officers arrived at the Las Vegas Strip resort, they discovered a woman had been stabbed in the neck.

Jamerson was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where she died of her injuries, police said.
