Walk into any casino today, and you'll find all different variations of poker being played. Three Card. Caribbean Stud. Let It Ride. You name it. They have a poker game with a unique twist and tempting bonus bets to go along with it.

But old-fashioned poker — where the players are out to beat each other rather than the house — has stood the test of time. Poker rooms have long been an important amenity inside casinos and are to this day a popular draw, with some properties hosting an astounding number of tables.

Below, thanks to Casino City's comprehensive database, we present the top 10 casinos in the world, ranked in order of the number of poker tables offered. And if you're wondering why quite a few of these places call California home, it's because poker's been part of the Cali lifestyle since the state became a state in 1850.

10. Bally's - Atlantic City, New Jersey
With 58 poker tables and a scenic location right by the ocean, Bally's – Atlantic City is an ideal destination. Any foodies looking for a bite can stop at Guy Fieri's Chophouse. You may recognize its address, "Park Place and the Boardwalk," as it appears in the board game Monopoly.

9. The Venetian Las Vegas, Nevada
The second-largest hotel in the world and named "one of the grandest," the Venetian Las Vegas boasts 59 poker tables, and hosts DeepStack Extravaganza tournaments and five major events a year. TAO Nightclub has been voted one of the top 100 Nightclubs and Bars, according to website Nightclub & Bar, and it's no wonder: with an infinity edge pool filled with koi, private "sky-boxes" and unbeatable views of the Strip, it's the perfect place to party after a day at the poker tables.

8. Palm Beach Kennel Club Poker Room – Palm Beach, Florida
The Poker Room received the title of "largest poker room in Florida" after an addition in 2007. Currently, the room contains 64 poker tables, plus TV monitors and betting windows to allow players to join in on the action of greyhound racing and simulcast action. Running greyhound races since 1932, the Palm Beach Kennel Club is one of the oldest racing tracks in the country.

7. BestBet Poker, Simulcast and Racing - Jacksonville, Florida
This property’s poker room, packed with 70 poker tables, is open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday. Simulcast greyhound racing and more await at this Sunshine State destination.

6. Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa – Atlantic City, New Jersey
The 161,000-square-foot casino provides thousands of slot machines and 75 poker tables. The largest poker tournaments in New Jersey take place in Borgata's very own poker room.

5. Parx Casino – Bensalem, Pennsylvania

4. Foxwoods Resort Casino – Mashantucket, Connecticut
Foxwoods made an appearance on last week's top 10 casinos for slot players, and it returns this week for poker fanatics. The Mashantucket Pequot-owned property features 96 poker tables. 3. The Bicycle Hotel & Casino – Bell Gardens, California
This casino, open 24/7, year-round, features 135 poker tables and high-limit rooms for the big players. If that's not a reason to stake here, I don't know what is. A seven-story, four-star hotel was opened back in Dec. 2015, cementing its status as a must-visit location.

2. Hawaiian Gardens Casino – Hawaiian Gardens, California
This casino is open 24/7 and has 182 poker tables. On-site massages during play, an international food menu and a sports bar round out the experience. Don't forget to sign up for their mobile text alerts to keep up with the action.
