Candio becomes Italy's all-time leader with fourth-place WSOP finish7 November 2010
"It's an honor, but I would prefer to win this tournament," said Candio. "But that's okay. It was amazing to stay here in Vegas and play in the Main Event." Candio displayed an amazing amount of candor and confidence. He was the only player to show a bluff during the entire day's play, and he did so on several occasions. And after he was busted from the tournament, he was asked if he expected to do so well, he had a simple response. "Yes," Candio said with a wry grin. ![]() Filippo Candio became Italy's leader on poker's all-time money list with his $3.1 million fourth-place prize. (photo by Vin Narayanan) "I played a lot of hands in the last three months and I tried to play with the best players in the world," said Candio. "I think I'm a better player. I love poker. I'm a professional player and (this has been the best time) of my life." Candio says he may play in the NAPT event in Los Angeles next week, but was certain of one thing. No matter what, you can expect to see Filippo Candio at more poker tournaments in the United States for a long time to come.
