Preparing for the biggest tournament of my life, all I can think about is first place. The tournament is the $600 Limit Hold'em event in the World Poker Finals at Foxwoods. Last year, 470 people entered, making first prize $74,655.

Harrah's announces 2007 World Series of Poker dates30 October 2006
The 2007 World Series of Poker will begin June 1 at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino Harrah's Entertainment officials announced Monday.
The Main Event final table will begin on July 17th, Harrah's spokesman Gary Thompson said.

The National League of Poker (NLOP) will now operate under the name Power Play Development Corporation after merging with the publicly traded company Wednesday.

The least experienced player at the Festa Al Lago Main Event final table became the latest youngster to make the World Poker Tour his coming out party.
Andreas Walnum, a 23-year old Norwegian professional, defeated 433 players to earn $1,090,025 and his first major-tournament win.
