Rebecca's Recommendations - October 6, 2005
6 October 2005
By Rebecca Liggero
Welcome back to my recommendations. I have missed you greatly. So now down to business. I certainly hope that you have signed up for the Platinum Play tournament by now, especially considering that my Casino City pride is at stake. I do realize there is a remote possibility that you have not yet signed up (which would be very sad), and if this is the case, please click here to read all about it.
So today I would like to introduce you to a brand new, state of the art, bonus filled, and superbly managed poker site. Titan Poker has just launched with an incredible offer for new depositing players- a 100% first deposit bonus up to $500! I must say that this is the most generous sign up bonus for a poker site that I have ever seen. Also, for every hand you play at Titan that generates rake, you can earn "Stars". This unique player point system allows players to receive bonuses based on the stars they have earned. Titan also stages weekly $1,000 Freeroll tournaments and is the proud home of the huge progressive jackpot prizes starting at $15,000. Have fun at Titan, and let me know how it goes!
Before signing off, I want to bring your attention to Golden Tiger Casino, another one of my favorites. Having been a soccer player in my youth, this little tidbit of information caught my eye. The owners of Golden Tiger Casino have decided to sponsor the European Aston Villa Football Club for the forthcoming season. Ok, I'm not sure about you, but this whole soccer (America) vs. football (the rest of the world) issue has always made my laugh. ANYWAY, Golden Tiger Casino has been dubbed "Europe's favorite online casino", and if it's that good I figure, why can't it be "American's favorite online casino" too? Take that and chew on it, my friends.
Lastly, attention all Americans and Canadians! I'm going to leave you with one urgent request. Please head down to your local church before 4pm EST and say a prayer for the Sox (Red, NOT White). I think we that might need a miracle to occur. Until next week...

Rebecca Liggero loves meeting new people and traveling – perfect qualities for someone who has won friends and influenced people in the worldwide online gaming community. After graduating from Bates College with a degree in psychology, Rebecca spent four years in Washington, DC, working in relationship management, dreaming all the while about someday making it big in online gaming. After turning down an opportunity to live in New Zealand, she moved back to Boston and signed on as Senior Account Manager for Casino City – the beginning of a dream come true! Rebecca’s work on behalf of Casino City (and later for the GPWA as well) took her to trade shows and conferences everywhere – Amsterdam, Barcelona, Costa Rica, Montreal, London, Las Vegas, Macau and many other ports of call – and along the way she began chronicling her incredible around-the-clock adventures in a wildly entertaining and industry-savvy weekly column that quickly became – and still remains – must reading for everyone who is anyone in online gaming. Following almost three years with the Casino City team, Rebecca spent a few months at Everest Affiliates where she was the Brand Manager of the affiliate program. While working on “the other side,” she realized that she truly missed her weekly column and the affiliate side of the business and decided to return to the Casino City family. One and a half years later, Rebecca resigned from Casino City and joined industry icon Calvin Ayre to serve as the Bodog Global Brand Ambassador and the head on-site reporter for the online gambling industry tablog, CalvinAyre.com. In her new capacity, Rebecca continues to travel the world, and when asked where she is based, her response is usually "on an airplane." Contact Rebecca at rebecca@liggero.net. Be careful, though – she might quote you.
