Zoom Poker zooms along

19 April 2012

Cash games at online poker haven't changed a whole lot in the last 15 years. You sit at a table, play a series of hands against the opponents at the table while the blinds rotate around the table, and you either win or lose money based on how you play and the cards you receive.

In recent years, however, there have been innovations that have sped up the game. The most notable now available is PokerStars’ new Zoom Poker.

In Zoom Poker, players are randomly assigned a seat at a table with other players playing the same game at the same stakes. But after they fold, instead of having to wait for the next hand to be dealt, they are moved to a new table with new random opponents. As a result, players can play three or four times as many hands per hour at a single table.

Currently, Zoom Poker is available for Hold'em and Omaha at a variety of stakes. Zoom on over to PokerStars and check it out.
