Wynn Macau addition to open month early

MACAU -- Wynn Resorts Ltd., the casino company run by casino developer Steve Wynn, will open its Macau expansion one month earlier than planned.

The Wynn Macau extension will open Monday with 85 additional tables and 551 new slot machines, the Las Vegas based company said in a statement.

The expansion originally was scheduled to open in July but was postponed because of "uncertainty in the marketplace," the company said in June.

Wynn rose $5.63, or 5.01 percent, to close at $117.98 on Nasdaq Stock Market.
