Wynn Las Vegas accelerates the opening new convention space expansion10 September 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- Wynn Las Vegas announces that its new 430,000 gross square foot meeting and convention expansion is now scheduled to debut in February 2020, one month earlier than previously announced. The expansion more than doubles the rentable meeting and convention space at Wynn and Encore by adding 300,000 new rentable square feet, raising the total to 560,000 rentable square feet across 57 flexible meeting rooms, an outdoor pavilion with adjacent lawn, and four pillar-less ballrooms. "Our new expansion seamlessly complements the existing space at Wynn and Encore, giving clients endless options to create memorable events, all backed by the same award-winning five-star service that only Wynn can provide," said Chris Flatt, EVP of Hotel Sales at Wynn Las Vegas. "The architecture, design, and spectacular views create an event experience unlike anything else in Las Vegas, and we are looking forward to welcoming clients sooner than expected." The two-level expansion offers sweeping views of the resort's new 18-hole championship golf course (opening October 11, 2019), Wynn's signature indoor-outdoor design approach, lush landscapes, gourmet catering, and cutting-edge sustainability programs. Like the existing event space, the expansion is powered by 100 percent renewable energy sourced and delivered directly from the 160-acre Wynn Solar Facility and on-site rooftop solar panels, an industry first for a gaming operator in Nevada. There is no other meeting and convention space in Las Vegas providing this benefit to clients. The grand rotunda entrance leads to 18 new thoughtfully scaled rooms ideal for a variety of uses from small receptions to large general sessions, highlighted by sunlit promenades and oversized terraces with floor-to-ceiling windows. Unique to the expansion are a 20,000 square foot outdoor pavilion with an adjacent 20,000 square foot lawn, a luxury 2,500 square foot hospitality lounge featuring a state-of-the-art 72-by-9-foot LED video wall, and a remarkably engineered 83,000 square foot pillar-less ballroom, the largest at the resort and one of the largest in Las Vegas. |
