WSOP, Global Cash offer new options29 May 2007LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The World Series of Poker ("WSOP") and Global Cash Access ("GCA") have teamed up to offer a wider selection of cash access and funding options for this year's 2007 WSOP Tournament, which will take place at the Rio® All-Suites Hotel and Casino from June 1 through July 17, 2007. The WSOP, which is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE:HET - News), drew 8,773 participants for the $10,000 buy-in Main Event in 2006. In total, the 2006 WSOP saw more than 48,000 entries compete for a gross prize pool in excess of $171 million. "This is an exciting opportunity for us and Harrah's," said Steve Lazarus, Senior Vice President of Sales for GCA. "Not only does it allow us to improve service and reinforce consumer loyalty in the WSOP, it also provides new potential in an energetic and growing poker market."
