WPT Global introduces major software upgrade13 December 2024(PRESS RELEASE) -- WPT Global can announce a significant upgrade to the poker platform with the integration of a new major engine upgrade. This improvement marks the beginning of a commitment to creating a smoother, faster and more efficient online poker experience. Key features in the engine upgrade: - Improved Speed and Responsiveness: The new engine enhances poker gameplay performance, bringing in a higher framerate and smoother experience at the online felt. - Reduce Device Load: CPU usage will be cut down by up to 80% and memory usage lowered by up to 50%, making your device run cooler, quieter, and with less power consumption – even when multi-tabling. - Built To Allow More Tables: With the upgrade, we have addressed concerns, making it easier to multi-table without downgrading performance. - Foundations for the Future: The new engine upgrade allows us to build for high-definition visuals and take the software to the next level, increasing the multi-tabling capabilities, visual features and much more. Over the past year, we have heard player feedback highlighting issues with how resource-intensive the software was, especially on CPU during multi-tabling. The engine upgrade addresses these concerns to create a seamless, more enjoyable poker experience. This upgrade is the first step in a journey in enhancing the platform. “I’ve been testing the new engine internally, and the difference is remarkable,” said Alex Scott, President of WPT Global. “This is a crucial step in us creating a smoother, faster and efficient poker platform. While this update focuses on performance enhancements, it lays the foundations and groundwork for new and exciting features and visuals going forward.”
