Women's only poker academy to be held in New Orleans5 December 2008FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Women's Ultimate Poker Academy (WUPA), the first all women's poker teaching academy, is launching December 6th at Harrah's New Orleans in Louisiana with the "Queen of Poker" Barbara Enright. Ms. Enright is the only women to ever make the final table at the World Series of Poker Main Event and finish in fifth place. In addition, Barbara Enright is the only women to have been inducted into both the Poker Hall of Fame and the Women's Poker Hall of Fame. The WUPA will be offering a free 3 hour teaching seminar with instructor Barbara Enright who will offer her insight, expertise and experiences as a professionally ranked poker player. In addition to Ms. Enright, the WUPA has a number of other professional female poker players on their teaching staff including Susie Issacs, JJ Liu and Karina Jett. Women, who participate in upcoming academies, will benefit from a hand by hand instruction, individualized attention from the top female pros in the industry and leave with personal feedback from their instructor. The next WUPA academy will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 6 & 7, 2009. The cost for this 2-day academy is $1295 and includes a free-roll into the High Heels Poker Tour Event on March 8th at Noon at the Hard Rock. The women will also receive promotional give-a-ways, prizes and much more. The Women's Ultimate Poker Academy was established in 2008 by partners Lisa Adams and Lauren Failla and is the first all women's poker academy. |
