Woman Wins $2.1 Million Slot Jackpot

LA GRANGE, Missouri – As reported by the Quincy Herald Whig: "Brenda Preston of New London was getting tired of losing at Terrible's Mark Twain Casino and considered staying home last Saturday.

"'My husband talked me into going. I wasn't going up because I lose all the time, and that gets disappointing,' Preston said.

"The trip proved to be worthwhile, for Preston won $2.1 million at the casino when she was playing at a 25-cent Wheel of Gold progressive slot machine.

"When she hit the jackpot at 3:05 p.m. Saturday, bells sounded and lights started flashing. Preston was looking at another slot machine she was planning to play when the gambler next to her congratulated her on winning.

"…Preston's husband, Kenneth, was alerted to her good fortune by a cocktail waitress…"
