Woman Fined for Possessing Lottery Numbers10 March 2004BORNEO -- As reported by the Borneo Bulletin: ``A 36-year-old Filipino woman was fined $250 for a charge of keeping pieces of paper written with 4-digit lottery numbers yesterday before Magistrate Muhammed Faisal. ``Blesila Silvestre Redondo was arrested by CID personnel, led by ASP Yakub Ismail, who conducted a raid at a tailor shop at the Anggerek Desa Industrial Complex in Berakas on April 9 last year at 5.25 pm, after being tipped off by the public. ``...She then admitted to the felony during investigations and the papers were sent to a gaming expert who confirmed that the numbers were records of bets of Malaysian Magnum 4D drawn and were of a punter's. ``...The court ordered a $100 reward to the informer while the items were forfeited..." |
