Woman Accused of Luring Casino Winner

6 December 2004

MISSOURI – As reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: "Jefferson County Prosecutor Bob Wilkins says he is considering charges against two women who are accused of helping a Hillsboro man rob a St. Louis-area casino winner outside a bar in Festus.

"Jared B. Wuest, 23, of Hillsboro is charged with first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and first-degree assault in connection with the Nov. 4 robbery.

"Police say two 19-year-old women coaxed the victim, a Festus man, 43, to go to a secluded part of a parking lot outside Cisco's Bar and Grill, where Wuest allegedly struck the man on the back of the head with a 13-pound rock.

"…According to Festus police the women coaxed the man to a secluded part of a parking lot about 1:30 a.m., and Wuest struck him on the back of the head with the rock. Wilkins said the man was severely injured."
