Wives Rat Out on Gambling Husbands

LYNN, Massachusetts – As reported by the Boston Herald: "Tired of their men losing their earnings to illegal gambling, some wives in Lynn turned to the police, who broke up a dice game Sunday and brought gaming charges against 11 Cambodian men, authorities said.

"`It was the wives who called and they went down to check it out,' Lynn police Lt. Thomas Reddy said yesterday.

"…Two men, Rin Roeung, 46, of Lynn, and Sovann Chhith, 42, of Lowell, were arrested and charged with keeping a place for registering bets.

"…Sources said Cambodian men from all over the region have traveled to Lynn to partake in the gambling and some of them are suspected gang members…"
