Wisconsin Casino Audits Postponed19 November 2003MADISON, Wisconsin – As reported by the Associated Press: " The state will not conduct field audits of Wisconsin's American Indian casinos until state regulators are trained on details of the tribes' new gaming compacts. "Gaming Division compliance auditor John Dillett said Monday one full-scale audit of a tribe had been conducted roughly once a month. However, the division postponed its next audit until after Jan. 1. "…The new compacts the 11 tribes signed with Gov. Jim Doyle earlier this year allow for expanded gaming and include new formulas for tribal payments to the state. "…Dillett said the new compacts have also forced an upgrade in computerized casino data collection and monitoring.
