Windsor Downs Granted Michigan License

6 October 2004

MICHIGAN – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Michigan Racing Commissioner R. Robert Geake granted a racing license on Tuesday to Platinum Partners, conducting business as Windsor Downs, to operate a pari-mutuel racetrack in Windsor Township south of Lansing.

"Lansing-based real estate developer Dorian Lange leads Platinum Partners.

"…Lange said his project is not affected by a pending statewide ballot referendum, which, if approved on November 2, could effectively deny the expansion of video lottery terminals into Michgan racetracks, since only existing tracks and the two pending in the Detroit area would be allowed VLTs."
