Wildhorse Resort and Casino temporarily closes

18 March 2020

Wildhorse Resort and Casino posted on its website that it will be temporarily closing until 8 April. Below is the official statement from the website.

"With our commitment to providing a healthy and safe environment for our guests, our staff, and our local community, the COVID-19 pandemic requires major collective action to contain the spread of the virus. As a Tribal Government and one of the largest employers in Eastern Oregon, we have made the decision to close the Wildhorse Casino. The Casino will be temporarily closing effective noon, Wednesday, March 18 through Wednesday, April 8, 2020. This may be revisited based on new information.

Closure is as follows:
  • Casino Operations close at noon, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in effect through April 8, 2020. This includes closure of the casino slot floor, 16 table games, Keno, Bingo, Club Wild, Cage, Vault and Soft Count areas.
  • Hotel tower will remain open with 100 rooms available, limited to every other room on each floor. Courtyard will be closed. RV Park will remain open.
  • Cineplex to remain open through Sunday, March 22, at which time it will be re-evaluated.
  • All restaurants open for takeout orders with the exception of Plateau, the Sports Bar, and Traditions which will be closed.
  • Hamley’s Cafe and Steakhouse & Saloon remain open for takeout orders. Western Store and Saddle Shop will remain open.
  • Wildhorse and the Golf Course at Birch Creek remain open – restaurants will provide takeout orders.
  • Construction on the Family Entertainment Center will continue until such time as supplies/materials may not be available.
  • Arrowhead Travel Plaza and Mission Market will remain open as they are considered essential and provide service to the local community.

We understand the impact this closure has on team members and their families. Wildhorse will continue to pay the wages and medical benefits for its casino and resort employees affected by the closure through the end of the month.
