Wife: Gambling Played Role in Husband's Death

MADISON, Wisconsin – As reported by (Wisconsin) Channel 3000: "…News 3's Joel DeSpain talked with a Madison woman who believes betting played a significant role in her husband's death.

"…Enid Megahed told News 3 her husband, Sid, was a loving father, and a very successful corporate executive.

"He thought he could manage everything, but she says gambling was his downfall. She says he whittled away tens of thousands of dollars.

"…In the week leading up to his death, she says he would be at Ho-Chunk in Baraboo all night, then work his stressful job all day until he came home exhausted beyond belief one night and died from an asthma attack.

"…'He thought he could mentally juggle it. He got caught up in it. He just basically collapsed, had an asthma attack.'

"…'I was being the nagging wife. Meanwhile, tens of thousands of dollars was ... not going into a family interest, only his own,' Enid said…"
