We got an opinion from “rasmer,” an Olympic Online player who is regularly taking part in these tournaments: “$10,000 to $25,000 guaranteed tournaments are some of my favorites to play on a regular basis, mainly because they provide sufficiently large prize funds, but with not overly big buy-ins. They are a good way to compete for decent prize moneys when still following the bankroll management rules. Hopefully, the recently introduced late registration option will give an opportunity to raise the guaranteed prize pools even more. From the positive side I’d also point out that the average level of the game is not very high. While there are a number of winning regulars, their amount is not significant.” Recently he even managed to win two tournaments on the same night, $10,000 Guaranteed R/A, with 441 players and winnings of $2,347, and $4,000 GP Turbo R/A, with 236 players and winnings of $868. His comments: “$10,000 Guaranteed R/A tournaments have been always very lucky for me. I have won them a couple of times earlier too. This win wasn’t much different from the others, but it became more special when I also won another tournament on the same night. Usually I consider reaching to several final tables as a very successful day but getting two first places during the night was a pleasant surprise.” |
