Westgate sportsbook hands out first million-dollar SuperContest prize5 January 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- The world-famous Race & Sports SuperBook at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino has announced the champion of the 29th annual SuperContest. Competing against more than 2,000 contestants, Briceton Branch, known as "GRANNY'S BOY," will take home the grand prize check of $1,327,284, making him the SuperContest's first $1 million-dollar winner. Branch finished the season 58-22-5, good for 60.5 points, a mere 1.5 points ahead of the second-place winners, "SCHEMATIC ADVANTAGE" and "HOWDOIPLAY," both of whom will walk away with checks for $398,185.20. |
