West Virginia smoking ban expansion shelved

WHEELING, West Virginia -- A planned smoking ban expansion that would have made the entire Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack has been shelved for now, The Intelligencer; Wheeling News-Register reported.

A lack of consensus was given as the reason for tabling the proposal to allow time to educate the public and obtain support for the ban, the report said.
