West Virginia approves gambling bill

WEST VIRGINIA -- State lawmakers approved a gambling bill Saturday, Metro News reported.

The bill will aide racinos in several ways including altering "individual wager limits", the report said.

Greenbrier Resort will be allowed to install new video slot machines and $10 million lottery fund has been established for facilities, that racinos will be able to draw from for improvements, Metro News said.

In recent years, West Virginia has struggled with competition from neighbouring Pennsylvania, the report made note.
