West Baden Springs Hotel nears completion

FRENCH LICK, Indiana – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Construction and restoration work at the West Baden Springs Hotel, part of the French Lick Resort Casino development, is roaring ahead in time for a late spring opening. Excitement continues to build as more and more visitors enjoy the destination's unique experience. Workers are making progress daily, laying carpeting and adding wallcoverings to the 246-room National Historic Landmark, once dubbed the "Eighth Wonder of the World" for its famed domed atrium. The hotel will begin its soft opening phase in late April, allowing new employees to put their five-star training in practice with specially invited guests. An official reopening of the hotel will occur in May.

The West Baden Springs Hotel will offer tastefully appointed rooms and suites, complete with lavish, 100 percent Egyptian cotton linens, plush bathrobes and slippers, LCD flat panel televisions and Wi-Fi access; 40 rooms have balconies that offer a spectacular view of the atrium. The two-level natatorium with dedicated 12-room spa is slated to open in mid-May. In addition, guests can linger in the fine dining restaurant and wine bar, and five retail outlets, including West Baden Mercantile Company. The atrium will have complete wireless Internet access.

Guests will be able to take advantage of all of French Lick Resort Casino's amenities including golf, tennis and bowling. Horseback riding, with guided trail rides, will begin this summer. Daily shuttle service will be available between the West Baden Springs Hotel and the French Lick Springs Hotel and French Lick Casino, located less than a mile away.
