Wayne Rooney's father will not be charged in betting investigation

ENGLAND -- Wayne Rooney's father has had the betting investigation case against dropped, the BBC reported.

Wayne Rooney Sr was arrested in 2010 and accused of conspiracy defraud over bets on a football match, the report explained.

However Mr Rooney maintained his innocence and was quoted as saying he was delighted now he has been cleared, the BBC said.
