Wayne Brady to perform at SugarHouse Casino

12 July 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Highly-acclaimed comedian, Wayne Brady, will be lighting up The Event Center at SugarHouse Casino. The multi-talented comedic host and entertainment star will perform Saturday, Oct. 8, at 9 p.m. Tickets for the performance go on sale July 15 for $69.

Brady's impressive career includes winning a Primetime Emmy Award for "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", and earning four Daytime Emmy Awards as host of "The Wayne Brady Show." He also began hosting a revamped version of the game show "Let's Make a Deal" in 2009. Recently, Brady starred as Lola in the six-time Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, "Kinky Boots."

"Wayne Brady is an incredible talent whose joy is infectious to everyone who sees him perform," said Wendy Hamilton, general manager of SugarHouse Casino. "We are excited to welcome him to Philadelphia after his successful stint on Broadway."

Alongside his acting and comedy careers, Brady is a Grammy Award-winning singer. In 2009, Brady won the award for best traditional R&B vocal performance for his song "A Change is Gonna Come" from his album "A Long Time Coming."

Brady will kick off the fall season for The Event Center, and tickets for the show and all SugarHouse performances can be purchased online at the Sugar House Casino website.

In addition to live performances and concerts, the SugarHouse Casino Event Center can be reserved for a variety of other occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Delaware riverfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Parking is always free.

The Event Center is part of SugarHouse's 2016 expansion rollout, with an expanded gaming floor and seven new food and beverage outlets, including Hugo's Frog Bar & Chop House by Gibsons Restaurant Group, the casino's high-end steakhouse.
