Watch official Cheltenham Festival preview evening live online6 March 2013CHELTENHAM, England -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- For the first time, live exclusive footage of the Official Cheltenham Preview Evening 2013 will be broadcast free to the public online at http://cheltenham.olbg.com/ Cheltenham Racecourse, the hosts of the only official Cheltenham Festival Preview evening, are throwing open their doors to the racing public and allowing live unrestricted access to most anticipated preview evening on the racing calendar via Sports Betting Community website OLBG.com. Alan Lee, who will chair the expert panel, says, 'It's great to expand the reach of what is already the biggest and most authentic of the countless preview nights.' In addition, Twitter users are invited to interact with the panel by sending questions to @OLBG using #askOLBG in the tweet. All questions will be picked up by Dean Goddard, OLBG columnist, who will be reading out the top questions live to his co-panelists. 'I'm thrilled to be involved in this innovative idea from Cheltenham Racecourse and OLBG,' says Dean, adding, 'Social media has helped a lot in making the sport more accessible, and allowing people to interact with the expert panel via Twitter is the logical next step.' The announcement comes as part of Cheltenham Festival's initiative to keep the racecourse in line with current consumer trends. Andy Clifton, Communications Manager for Cheltenham Racecourse says: 'The way in which people consume news and information has changed dramatically in recent years with the explosion in popularity of social media, and the OLBG team understands that as well as anyone. It is great news that people who can't make it here in person will still be able to follow the preview evening closely and I'm sure that this will be one of many Cheltenham events that is shared through webcast in the years to come.' Also on the Official 2013 panel are Rishi Persad from Channel 4, former trainer Charlie Morlock - who is now assistant to Nicky Henderson - and jockeys Patrick Mullins for the Irish view and Sam Twiston-Davies for a British perspective.
