Washington Casino Water Deal Sunk

RIVERSIDE, Washington – As reported by the Washington Evening Journal: "What could have been a possible joint water and wastewater system between Washington County Casino Resort LLC and the City of Riverside sunk Wednesday when the city council learned the casino will build its own system.

"The casino offered Riverside a chance to 'buy into it' in the future, but made it clear the gambling project would build, operate and own a sewer and water system.

"…But the casino's involvement, as of last night, 'is off the table,' engineer Terry Lutz told the council at a work session…"
