VLTs Approved for Batavia Downs

BATAVIA, New York – As reported by the Buffalo News: "The board of directors of Western New York Regional Off-Track Betting on Thursday approved a $9.4 million financing package that will pave the way for the March 1 installation of 1,500 video lottery terminals at Batavia Downs.

"Martin C. Basinait, OTB's chief executive officer, said $2.2 million will target the installation of the slot machinelike devices.

"Most of the financial package will go toward restructuring $6.8 million of current debt, along with covering losses at one OTB parlor…"
