Virginia Lottery releases September 2026 sports wagering activity report2 November 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Virginia Lottery released its report on sports wagering activity submitted by licensed operators for the month of September 2026. Between 1-30 September 2026, Virginians wagered $729,581,723. A complete list of all approved operators can be found online, under the “approvals” tab. For September, ten mobile operators and three casinos were authorized to accept wagers in Virginia. Virginia bettors won a total of $660,981,300 for a combined 9.40% operators win percentage. State law places a 15% tax on sports betting activity based on each permit holder’s adjusted gross revenue, which is defined as total wagers minus total winnings and other authorized deductions. and Support Fund administered by the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. Ten operators reported net positive AGR for September, leading to over $9.2 million in tax payments for the month and $33 million collected fiscal year-to-date. |
