Video Gaming Technologies receives approval for games in Illinois

24 August 2012

ROLLING MEADOWS, Illinois -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Video Gaming Technologies, Inc. (VGT) has received official notification from the Illinois Gaming Board that its VEGA$ Jackpot$(TM) product line is approved for the video gaming terminal market in Illinois.

“This has been a massive project where dozens of our associates worked tirelessly to launch this innovative platform. Now that VEGA$ Jackpot$ received the official go ahead from the IGB, we're moving forward with bringing the product to market! We are confident that our extensive research and game development process will make VGT the game of choice in Illinois,” said Jon Yarbrough, VGT’s CEO.

As part of the approval process, the Illinois Gaming Board relied on testing from Gaming Laboratories, Inc. (GLI). GLI’s rigorous testing procedures are designed to make sure that each gaming product is compliant with all applicable regulations.

"This is an exciting day, not just for VGT, but also for all of our operators who have waited patiently for the last few weeks,” said VGT’s Illinois Sales Manager, Frank Fortunato. “Receiving the official approval from the Illinois Gaming Board means we are finally entering the home stretch of what has been a long journey towards entering the Illinois market.”

With the formal approval, VGT will begin installing terminals. The initial installation will occur within a handful of locations with future installation waves occurring in the very near future.
